In the past, salt was used as a method of food preservation, flavoring agent, in pottery, religious rituals, and for medicinal and nutritional properties. It has served as money at various times and places, been the objective of major explorations, and it has caused bitter warfare. Salt was used around the world by many different cultures, including the ancient Romans, Egyptians, Hebrews, and Greeks. Documents have even been recovered in China from 2,700 BC that discuss over 40 types of salt and their extraction methods, which are very similar to the processes still used.

Presently, salt comes either from salt mines or from the sea. Most of today's salt is mined from large deposits left by dried salt lakes throughout the world. However, the most prized solar sea salt comes from the Pacific ocean and is naturally dried by the sun and wind. There is nothing more soothing, satisfying, and luxurious as a therapeutic soak with sea salt.

My definition of art contains three elements:

Art is made by a human being.

Art is created to have an impact, to change someone else.

Art is a gift. You can sell the souvenir, the canvas, the recording... but the idea itself is free, and the generosity is a critical part of making art.

By my definition, most art has nothing to do with oil paint or marble. Art is what we we're doing when we do our best work.

Secret Ingredient: Papaya

The Papaya symbolizes the eternal beauty of womanhood as well as desire.
I get this question... every. single. day. Which is why I'm working on a video, but in the meantime, I thought I would share these mineral foundation application tips.

Orglamix perfectly pigmented, water-resistant finely milled mineral powder plays every role you need for gorgeous, healthy skin: foundation, powder, concealer and sunscreen. It conceals, camouflages, and provides SPF protection all in one easy step. This amazing powder is a high-pigment, talc-free foundation that provides a silk-to-satin finish. Orglamix Pure Mineral Foundation provides sheer, natural coverage and leaves the skin with a smooth, airbrushed appearance. it's you, only better.

The lightweight, virtually mistake proof approach to foundation makeup is ideal for all skin types because it is talc-free, fragrance-free, paraben-free, water-free and oil-free and the incredibly fast and easy-to-use makes this gentle powder safe to use on all skin types - from the most sensitive, to the most prone to breakouts and even dry skin (the minerals trap moisture in the skin and keep your skin hydrated) --making it a natural choice for everyone.

It goes on evenly and easily for long-lasting coverage and broad-spectrum UV protection. Minerals refract light which minimizes the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, discolorations and imperfections. Which also gives a much wider color tolerance than most makeup—you will never see where they begin and end. It's the purest purest form of foundation available; skin perfection combined with sun protection has never looked so beautiful.

Orglamix Benefits:

free from dyes, harsh chemicals, fillers or oils

How-To: Apply Mineral Foundation

Applying Orglamix is as easy as 1-2-3. The light-as-air minerals go on sheer, allowing you to build coverage, and blend effortlessly into skin to cover imperfections. One application is all it takes for an airbrushed complexion and skin that glows from morning to night without touch-ups.

Begin with cleansed, moisturized skin. Allow moisturizer to fully absorb before applying mineral foundation.

Pour a small amount of foundation from the jar into the lid.

Touch your Maximum Coverage Foundation or Kabuki brush to the minerals and swirl it around until the brush "takes up" the minerals.

Tap off excess.

Blend over your face by moving the brush in a circular motion around the cheeks, nose, chin and forehead and anywhere you desire flawless coverage.

If you prefer more coverage, continue to apply foundation as needed.

Tea Tree Oil is derived by distilling the leaves of the Southern Australian Melaleuca tree. This aromatic, almost colorless oil penetrates quickly and is beneficial for problematic skin. It contains consituents called terpenoids, which have been found to have antiseptic and antifungal activity.

Because the water-resistant “paperbark” is so easy to peel off the tree, it was used extensively by the aboriginal peoples of Australia to make small canoes, knife sheaths, and thatching for shelters. The pungent leaves were soaked in hot water and taken as a cure for cold coughs, and headaches – or they were simply picked from the tree and chewed. In World War ll cutters and producers of tea tree were exempt from military service until enough essential oil had been accumulated. It was issued to each soldier and sailor for them to treat tropical infections and other problems of warfare, including wounds.
