The Best Makeup Brushes
I've been saving this post for quite some time-- and damn it, now I'm mad! You see, I usually get press releases long before a product actually launches, sometimes it's only a few days, but usually, as in this case, it was a few months. What's the point of reading my raves, unless you can get your hands on some of the same? So, I hung onto this one; and now it may be too late...
Eco Tools is a range of earth-friendly beauty tools made from soft, cruetly-free synthetic hair. The handles are made from bamboo, which is a renewable resource that can grow up to three feet per day. (I really wish I could get my hair to do the same.) The metal ferrule is made from recycled aluminium cans. The eco-chic packaging features product insert cards printed on recycled paper and reusable, jute pouches printed with plant-based inks. The card offer up tips on how to 'be green'.
I'm impressed! These brushes are right up there with the best makeup brushes of the world: Shu Uemura, Japonesque, Laura Mercier and MAC. To my surprise, they are environmentally-friendly and wallet-friendly. The bristles are perfect; not too soft, nor too stiff. I suggest: the eco-stylish, go-anywhere 5 Piece Bamboo Brush Set, $15 -no joke- includes a Blush Brush, expertly tapered for easy highlighting and contouring of cheekbones, Eye Shading Brush, wide, soft bristles deliver a swift, even application, Eyeliner Brush, ultra-flat, precisely angled bristles create a clean line around eyelashes, Lash and Brow Groomer, comb, separate, enhances lashes and brows and a hemp and cotton Brush case. For under ten bucks, you can add the Powder Brush, ideal for applying powder and setting makeup. The shape of the brush is easy to fit around the face for easy shading and dusting excess powders. Or opt for the Foundation Brush, designed for cream or liquid foundation for an even finish. You can't go wrong with any of these makeup brushes. After searching high and low, Ulta.com has them
